When the Strawberries Ripen (Ko zorijo jagode)

Slovenian 1978 coming-of-age romantic drama about Jagoda Kopriva, an eighth-grade girl in Ljubljana who navigates first love and friendship. Jagoda falls for a slightly older boy, Dragi, and also faces the unrequited feelings of her friend Nejc; the film explores teenage love, family relationships and the consequences of adult intentions.
