Case study on optimizing the PCB copper-clad mesh design at the receiver (ROSA) AWG for COB optical transceiver modules. Three mesh hole diameters (φ0.5mm, φ0.10mm, φ0.15mm) were tested. After -40~85°C thermal cycling, φ0.5mm caused AWG cracking due to excessive stress; φ0.10mm–φ0.15mm maintained shear >5 kg and met MIL-STD-883 2X shear requirements, preventing AWG failure and meeting reliability criteria.
